The weekend workshop is a Veterinary Integrative Fascial Therapy hands-on seminar & wet-lab to learn techniques and application of a new fascial treatment modality. This can be used as a standalone treatment, or in combination with acupuncture or animal chiropractic to enhance both.
It is a minimally invasive therapy, a very light but effective technique suitable for fragile patients such as very young or old patients, those with severe pain, those with severe disease conditions, palliative end-of-life care, or for pediatric cases.
It requires less force and energy than some other physical modalities, works best with focused, targeted intention, easier on both patient & practitioner.
Weekend includes 12 hr lectures, demonstrations and hands on work. There may be some informal self-care sessions as well, such as Qi Gong, meditation practices, forest bathing, depending on weather. IVAS (International Veterinary Acupuncture Society) and AVCA (American Veterinary Chiropractic Association) CE credit approval are pending.
Accommodations and food are on your own. There are a limited number of on-site options, see Sally’s Brook website.
Cost of weekend workshop is $790 for non-members and $595 for Association of Veterinary Acupuncturists of Canada (AVAC) members.
