Acres is a shareholder of the Metro Animal Emergency Clinic (MAEC). The MAEC provides emergency care for our patients while we are closed overnight, on weekends, and for holidays. This means that our staff does not need to be oncall 24-7. It allows us to rest without worries so that we can be bright and alert when treating patients during regular business hours.
Our veterinarians and our practice maintain a number of professional affiliations to ensure that the care we provide to our patients is humane, ethical, and of high quality.
Acres is credited as a small animal hospital and an equine mobile clinic (for acupuncture and chiropractic) by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) through our membership with the Nova Scotia Veterinary Medical Association (NSVMA). Both Dr. Lee and Dr. McInnis are members in good standing of the CVMA and the NSVMA. Dr. Lee and Acres also maintain membership and accreditation with the New Brunswick Veterinary Medical Association (NBVMA), which permits Dr. Lee to provide acupuncture and chiropractic services to horses in New Brunswick.
Dr. Lee became certified in veterinary acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) in 2000.
Since 2003, Dr. Lee has been certified in Animal Chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA).
Dr. Lee is a member of the American Canine Sports Medicine Association (ACSMA).
Dr. Lee is a member of the Canadian Association of Veterinary Dermatologists (CAVD).
